Choose your preferred method of hair removal - either warm waxing and hot wax treatments.
Using warm tea tree crème wax for the best in hair removal.
So what are the benefits of professional waxing?
Working at a slightly higher temperature hot wax makes shorter and more stubborn hairs easier to remove. This is a much more comfortable way of removing intimate hair.
Hot wax depilation has been available over many years but is not as common as warm wax. Hot wax consists of beeswax and a resin. Hot wax is melted to a thicker consistency than warm wax. When the wax is applied to the skin with a spatula, it coats the hair with a thick layer. As the wax cools it becomes firmer contracting around the hair and gripping them tightly. The wax remains on the skin until it becomes opaque in colour-drying to form a slight tacky consistency. It is then pulled off the skin with a fast movement.
What is it? : A basic bikini wax only removes the hair that is visible outside of your normal underwear. A Brazilian bikini wax removes hair from the front, back and everywhere in between leaving only a thin strip perfect for the beach, yourself or....someone special!
A hollywood wax removes all pubic hair, from front to back and in between!
For first timers it can be painful but using hot wax that does not adhere to the skin. makes it more comfortable than using warm strip wax. Many clients say that it is not as bad as they imagined it would be ...
Your waxing may be more comfortable if the hair is shaved down but remember there MUST be at least half an inch of hair for the waxing to be effective. To guarantee this no shaving must be done within 3 weeks of your treatment.
This is completely your choice! Most clients want the traditional Hollywood leaving no pubic hair at all. The Brazilian leaves some hair above the labia area, it's all down to what you want.
Contagious skin conditions will prevent us from waxing the affected area until the condition has completely cleared. If you are using skin care products that contain salicylic acid, glycolic acid or alpha hydroxyl acids of any kind, these can cause the skin to lift while waxing. Another area of caution is aggressive exfoliation of the skin, such as microdermabrasion or chemical peels. Prescription medications such as antibiotics, Acutane, or topical ointments such as Retin-A or Renova can cause the skin to thin and lift while being waxed. Other products to keep in mind are Strivectin, Proactiv, Avita and Avage. Clients taking Roaccutane must wait 6 months after finishing their medication before receiving a waxing treatment. We are also unable to remove hair from skin that is sunburn, chafed or broken, or skin that has been treated with steroid cream within the last 3 months. Keep in mind that it's difficult to predict how skin will react, no matter how many precautions are taken. You should avoid making a waxing appointment if . 1 week before and after menstrual cycle and After a spray tan, suntan or solarium treatment.
Exfoliate the skin thoroughly to remove dead skin cells. Moisturise the skin every day. If the skin is supple new growth can break through more easily reducing the risk of in-growing hairs and infection.
This is a tricky one to answer because everyone's hair growth is different. In most cases, you will see minimal re-growth during the first 3 weeks, with a noticeable increase after that. Continued waxing encourages slower, sparser re-growth.
If you're serious about maintaining that clean and sexy feeling, I recommend that you come in every 4 weeks for the first 4 appointments. You'll then find that the you'll be able to leave longer gaps between your appointments. The choice is yours and we're certainly not going to lecture you.
Women from all professions and of all ages get waxed. More than you would ever dream of. The reasons range from it being cleaner, to it improving their love life as it heightens sensitivity.
Avoid sun exposure for 24 hours, also try to avoid deodorant, hot showers, chlorinated pools, solariums, spas and saunas for 48 hours as these will iritate the skin. Use a loofah after two days, two or three times a week to minimise ingrown hairs. Moisturise daily and don't shave or tweeze in between appointments and you'll get great results.
